What Popdeck keeps

Popdeck is a vocabulary tool. When a learner makes a deck from an episode they're watching, we keep a list of the words in it: each word, its reading, a dictionary meaning, how often it's said and its level. We don't keep or show transcripts, video or subtitle files.

• A learner's own deck can show one short line from the episode next to a word, as a study example. Those lines are private to them.
• Public episode pages and library previews show only words, readings, meanings and levels, never lines from the show, and only the top words, never a full deck.

Show names

Show and episode names are used only to say which episode a word list comes from. Popdeck isn't affiliated with or endorsed by any show, studio, broadcaster or streaming service, and all trademarks belong to their owners.

Asking us to remove something

If you hold the rights to a show and want its word lists taken out of the public library, email hello@popdeck.co with the show's name, the pages concerned (links help) and how you're connected to the show. We usually remove listings within two working days and will tell you when it's done.
